Is Everyone Your Customer?

It is given that most of the people you know, which is your family, relatives, friends and neighbours, are not likely to buy or rent your company to render a particular service. Every new business owner should ask themselves this question ‘Is everyone my customer?’. The answer to this question will assist them to focus and channel their marketing / advertising campaigns to their customers. It is important for businesses to CLEARLY know who needs their services or products.

Experience has taught me that never focus on your family, relatives, friends and neighbours as your targeted market, unless they REALLY need your service / products. Even if they need your services, they may take advantage of the relationship you have with them and they will give you problems with payment. In most cases they will ask discounts and refuse to pay deposit, but still expect you to deliver quality service on time. It is better to avoid them and focus on your targeted market.

How do you find your customers?

Research! Research! and continuous Research will assist you in knowing who exactly needs your services / products and is willing to pay for them. As a business owner one needs to go out and find out where are your customers situated? Where do they work? Are they males or females? What type of publications do they read? Where do they hang around? Are they educated or not? These are some of the questions that a business owner may use in researching about his targeted customers. It is a fact that not everyone is your customer. For those who don’t have time to do research contact www.segakwengassociates.co.za this company specialises with research strategies that will assist your sales and marketing team to take your services / products to your customers and not assumed clients. At the end of a research, a client will get a research report.

A research report also plays a valuable role for your advertising and design consultants. It acts as a guide when designing your corporate identity, an advert and/or any marketing material. It is recommended to work with advertising consultants who will help you with the design of adverts and promotional materials that will put your services in front of your customers’ eyes. For advertising services that will make your customers want more from you and make your company stand out, visit www.limestudios.co.za and www.kreatif.co.za

Good luck and make your customers aware that you exist.

Thanks for reading; it is not a sin to be RICH!

Blogging your Business

Blogging, or weblogging, is growing in popularity by leaps and bounds, and is not going to go away anytime soon.

It's free (or cheap), and so easy that your average third-grader can have his or her own blog up and running in ten minutes. There are millions of blogs, but basically, there are three main types of blog:

One is the personal blog. It's basically an online diary. Most personal blogs are the author's own observations, ideas, rants, recommendations, - whatever one wants to write about is fair game. You can use a personal blog to keep up with your family, record your travel journeys, discourse on politics, anything.

Two is the business communication blog, or intra-company blog. These are used by companies big and small to facilitate communicating with others working for the same company or on the same project. It's easier than sending forty email messages. Companies can use a blog as an online newsletter, a project notebook, a place to highlight accomplishments, or even as a "what's up today" alert.

The third type of blog is the marketing blog. The marketing blog is used to promote a company's products or services, communicate with customers (and hopefully prospects), and to help in relationship building in the impersonal online world. A marketing blog can also increase web traffic (and thus increase revenues). It can help with branding, or creating an identity for your company.

If you have a small or home business, you can promote it with a blog. You can let visitors to your blog know when you've posted new content or added new products, and they can link right to your website to see for themselves.

You can also use newsfeeds like RSS or XML feeders to notify your readers when your blog has a new posting. Those little orange boxes you see on websites, like this are newsfeeds, and basically, if you use newsfeeds, you can pick your favorite sites (no more bookmarking) and receive updates on a regular basis, either via My Yahoo! (Google and MSN also support free newsfeeds), or via free news readers.

You can also self-promote your blog by telling people about it in emails, ezines, and your website.

Here's a blog that I write on hotel sales & marketing.

You can create your own blog, truly in just minutes, for free, at Blogger. They have a tour that explains things and step-by-step instructions. And, if you don't like it, there's a delete button and you can delete and start over!

If you'd like to know more about blogging, this Wikipedia article has great information on the history and growth of blogging, as well as links to blogs of various types.

Happy Blogging!

What Is Brand Credibility

Increased Brand Credibility Means Increased Sales

By: Bobbie McKee

What is Brand Credibility?

Brand credibility is often pointed out by marketing experts as one psychological factor that could trigger the buying impulse of consumers. However, just like with any type of triggers, it can produce a positive or negative effect. In this case, it refers to your brand's reputation and its ability (or inability) to convert that into sales.

As a business owner, you must try to change your perspective into that of the consumers. Try to understand how you would perceive various companies and how it affects your buying decisions. Most often, consumers would opt for those companies that are deemed to be experts in their respective industries.

Other factors that affect your buying patterns would include longevity, which covers the years that a company has been in existence. This reflects their mass appeal and quality of their service or product given that it has been patronized by a certain demographic and for that given period. This is what credibility in branding is about: the perception that people have of your business or company.

Establishing Credibility

Now that you understand what brand credibility is, you must face the harder question: how do you establish it? This is even more difficult for business newcomers or business startups because there is a lot of work to be done. Aside from that, you need to continually nourish it so as to be able to maintain that credibility that you have built up for your business.

Credibility is the heart of every business. Even though you offer quality products or services, if your customers perceive your company as incapable of delivering such level of quality, then it would be of no use. It would not be able to confirm your business as a reliable choice among several possible competing choices in the market.

To produce brand credibility, you need to meet the following categories:

Non-verbal such as your logo or image,

Verbal efforts through marketing or advertising,

Mission and Vision of the business to exemplify your organization's values,

and, Internal operations that is crucial in delivering your promises to the customer.

Following are tips on how you can build credibility towards success.

Customer Perceptions

You establish this initially by doing business that satisfies your customer. When you make advertisement claims about your product or service, you need to meet or exceed their expectation standards to be able to build that positive perception about your company. First impressions always last, so you need to make a good first impression if you want to increase market share.

Highlight Business Competence

Regardless of what product or service you are offering, you must demonstrate your expertise in that given field. Show data and statistics that serve as proof to what your company is capable of delivering. That is why most companies or websites advertise with testimonials to prove the results of using their product. When consumers see actual results, it extends from your products to your overall company image.

Consistency

As already mentioned above, establishing credibility is not a one-time process. Instead, you must also work on maintaining and enhancing it. After all, one mistake could easily trump the reputation you have built. Consistency then becomes of utmost importance in your business. It must be aligned with all processes involved in your business operations, from advertising, to the marketing, and production.

If you want to attain a certain level of standard, it must be true for all levels of business operation since this will serve to back up your integrity. Learn to follow the essentials of building and establishing brand credibility for it is one important aspect in achieving longevity.

Unveil a Powerful Marketing Tool That Many Are Overlooking

By: Sandy MacGillivray

The word viral makes you think infection, illness and disease. But, when referring to Internet Marketing , viral is very much a desirable thing!

What is Viral Marketing? Well, viral is a way of spreading your marketing message from person to person, similar to passing a cold around. You pass on the germ to about five people, who in turn each pass on the bug to 5 more (5x5=25), who then spread it to another 5 (25x5=125) and so on until after just 8 levels, you reach the staggering figure of 1,953,125. Of course the best example of viral marketing is Hotmail, one of the first free Web based e mail services. Their strategy was, and still is very simple:

1. Then stand back while people e mail to their own network of friends and associates who see the message and sign up for their own free e mail service, and the cycle continues.
2. Give away free e mail addresses and services
3. Attach a simple tag at the bottom of every users email message sent: Get your private, free email at ....

So, What Makes Marketing Viral? A viral marketing plan has some or all of the following basic elements:

1. Exploits common motivations and behaviours
2. Uses existing communication networks
3. Utilizes the resources of others
4. Provides a product or service free
5. Makes for easy transfer of the message to others
6. Allows easy growth from small to very large

When providing a product or service free, The word “Free” is the most persuasive word in marketing. Most viral marketing campaigns give away a product or service to gain prospect s interest. Eg. Free e mail service, free software, free info. etc. Then, when you have their attention, and build their trust, you can sell something related to their target niche. Don’t hit them with a sales pitch first, they won’t be as interested.

Time and time again, this has proven to be true. Now, most people have around 4 to 10 people in their close network of friends, family and work colleagues. On the internet, nearly everyone has email addresses in their contacts list, and favourite websites stored in their web browser. Use this fact in your marketing campaign. So, when you give away a free product, ask the recipient to provide the email addresses of others who may be interested. You could provide a friendly Tell a Friend feature which makes letting your contacts know that much easier.

Viral marketing has come a long way since the day of Hotmail. Today, most viral marketing websites take hold extremely well, and benefit all parties involved. Everyone wants to take part in something that is catching on like wildfire, and especially when it proves to be rewarding for all involved.

Because viral marketing is used as a way of building customers, and driving traffic to your website, it s simply a win/win situation for everyone! There is very little cost involved with a Viral marketing effort. In fact, in many places, it can be free. Given that, and the huge potential for increased profits with less effort, your marketing campaigns should always go viral so your prospects can’t resist!

4 Important Components Of Analysing Your Site Visitors

4 Important Components of Analyzing Your Site Visitors

By: Luca Moretti

While many of your blog or site visitors may leave comments or send you emails that tell you more about them and what they are interested in, many will have a look around your site and click onward without leaving a trace of information about who they are and what they care about.

Traffic analysis allows you to get an idea of who your website visitors are so it is essential if you want to improve your online marketing efforts. When marketing either online or offline, it’s important to know who your target audience is. You can become a more effective online marketer by determining who your website visitors are and what makes them tick.

Just like in the offline world, online marketers must first determine what the desired end result is and then analyze the target audience so they can use the right buzz words, images, and angle to appeal to this audience and get them to complete the desired action. Even if your customer base and target audience are constantly shifting, it’s essential to get a rough idea of who they are in order to effectively market your products and services.

Here are 4 important components of analyzing your site traffic.

1. If you are already using a site traffic analysis tool like Google Analytics, there is already a breadth of information available to you about your site visitors. One important factor you should analyze is visitor location. By finding out where your visitors are typically located, you can create landing pages to target people in specific geographic areas.

2. Visitor loyalty, bounce rate, and time spent on site are valuable ways to measure how interesting and engaging the content on your website is for visitors. By knowing how much time people spend on your site and how often they visit, you can figure out how enthusiastic people are about your content and know what’s working and what isn’t.

3. Keywords and search terms that visitors are searching for on your website and on search engines that lead them to your website are important to take note of. Keywords and search terms reveal what your site visitors are looking for and what gaps you may be able to fill in the future. When you consistently find a particular keyword being searched for on your site, it’s practically guaranteed that the keyword topic would be successful if you used it to create new content on your site.

4. Take a look at all of the traffic sources that lead visitors to your website. This includes referral sites, bookmarks, ads, and search engines. This information will help you because then you can figure out what sources are bringing you the most traffic and what type of content people are reading that leads them to your site. Data about traffic sources also tells you where you could increase visibility for your site.

Analyze your site traffic with these factors in mind. Don’t just look at your statistics every once in a while but study them regularly so you can start to see the bigger picture. By applying what you learn from your traffic, you can vastly improve your online presence and offerings for visitors.

Advertising, Marketing And Promotion System...

I am using a new Advertising, Marketing and Promotion system and think it will be of particular interest to you and your friends.

The great thing about this system is that there is no charge to register or use it, even for a business. This makes it ideal for
individuals, part-time workers, clubs, start ups and established businesses, etc.

It can be used for promoting both businesses and personal information, websites, blogs or profiles. By using a blog or
social site (like MySpace.com) even part-time workers, sole traders and Small Medium Enterprises SME's without their own
website can use the system.

Called the Enhanced Marketing System (EMS) it is magic, and progressively increases visitor numbers, advertises, creates
incoming links, improves website popularity; which will help to improve search engine ranking; which in turn will help to
increase targeted traffic, all automatically.

It was created by an entrepreneur with 30 years of IT development experience for businesses, who was looking for a system to market either an online or offline business.

He was disillusioned by the available options on the web - they were either too expensive or had major problems, such as
bombarding you with junk mail, required you to visit websites to get credits, was subject to fraud (banner adverts and pay per
click PPC), required you to waste your time relisting (advertising sites, bulletin boards, forums), did not provide
full control of costs, required a program to run on your PC, tied up your computer for hours, could not be controlled,
wasted hours of your precious time setting up reciprocal links links on pages that are rarely visited, etc.

At the outset he wanted something that would NOT cost anything to set up or use, would run automatically, would NOT use your PC to run, would direct new visitors to your website, would help increase your website popularity, would help to generate targeted traffic to your website, would be fair for everyone and provide exponential growth.

Sounds impossible, but it is now developed and here. There is an easy registration process, where you enter in the web page or blog you would like to promote (you can even promote multiple sites). After you have completed the 4 steps it will run fully
automatically, generating an progressively increasing flow of new visitors. But this is not all it does automatically for you;
it will also create adverts and links to your website to help increase your website popularity; which will help increase your
website ranking on the major search engines; which will help to increase targeted traffic.

The EMS system is suitable for promoting a wide range of products, services, information and entities.

This includes:
Individuals with information they would like to share.
Entrepreneurs.
Part-time workers.
Sole traders.
Businesses.
Internet marketers.
Internet networking.
Affiliate marketers.
Network marketers.
mlm marketers (multi level marketers).
Trades people.
Bloggers.
Website owners.
Home crafts, artists, writers...
Groups.
Bands.
Clubs.
Charities.
Auction shops i.e. eBay.
Social sites i.e. MySpace.com
Networking sites
Forums
etc.

You don't have to work hard to get rich.

This is a slightly difficult concept to explain, but here goes!

When I ask clients what they were taught about money from their parents the number one answer by a long way is “money doesn’t grow on trees” – funnily enough of course paper money does grow on trees but I guess none of us wanted to be that pedantic 5 year old and see our ice cream disappear ever further away!

The root of this comment and the limiting belief it installs is “you have to work hard for your money”.

Now to an extent that is true. Rarely, if ever, do riches come to you without some work. But the danger with this belief is that you may overlook ways to make money because they don’t satisfy your pre-programmed view of how money should be made.

“If it sounds too good to be true it probably is” is another quote often used.

You have to understand that times have changed. It is no longer necessary to spend 12 hours physically working hard down a pit to feed your family. The internet in particular has changed things. Now you can earn more money than most without working as hard as they do.

There are many opportunities now to make money by leveraging your efforts and using other people’s efforts to make you money.

But you have to overcome the belief that only hard work earns money, or you will never see these opportunities.

If that is unclear, or you have any questions about this, just reply to this eMail.

Starting Small

Starting Small

Everyone starts smalI in everything that they do. None of my mentors or people that I admire in business has started big, they all started small. One thing they had in common was that, they had big dreams. Dreams that one day, they too will be big. It is better to start small and gradually grow bigger each day. Big corporates started small. I used to feel like for people to succeed they start big. Experience taught me that if you rush to be big, you will crush before you even start.

Research at your library and any other information center will be valuable in helping you to start very well. Gather facts and relevant info wbout what you really want to start. It is not recommended to start a project without gathering more information. Always ask questions and advice from those who entered the industry you want to enter first. Join industry associations and forums, and participate in their caucases, get as much infomation as you can get from these organisations. Industry associations will make it easier for a starter to get to know he who's who of the industry. If you do not know where to find your industry association / forum, I recommend you use search engines like google.

Plan how are you going to approach your industry. Choose one service that you would like to render and specialise with. Focus on it and develop your knowledge and skill only on that particular service. When attending industry meetings organised by your associations make people aware that you render a particular service and should they need it, you are the expert to be contacted. Focus on that rendering that service, and you will soon be recognised as an expert. Word will move within the organisation that you are an expert and you will soon start getting business. Always keep on researching about your industry and developing yourself further. There is nothing satisfying, than a well informed service provider.

Building your name takes a lot of time and requires patience. Destroying your names takes less than a second. It is quick to destroy a brand and takes longer to build it. Protect yourself as a brand, because you will now be in the public space. Things that you do in a public space may bring or push away business. Be careful of what you do, you better keep your potential clients coming back to you and referring their friends to you, rather than losing them.

Be patient with yourself, all big brands started small and yet they persisted as they knew what they wanted. As a start-up, dream big and see yourself where you want to see yourself. Write your goals down and paste them where you would see them daily. Read them and collect pictures that will remind you of your goal. Collect information about your goal(s). Soon you will start seeing things happening that willl be taking you closer to your goal(s).

"Rome was not build in a day, patience pays"

To your success!!

What I had learned today from a friend

I met a Friend, Nicolette Jackson. This new friend of mine showed me how to customise my blog and how to add some gadgets on it. These gadgets will drive traffic to my website and blog. Very interesting hei!

These gadgets will also add value in my blog, as I have added videos that are relating to topics that I will be covering in this whole blog, that is Personal Development, Coaching, Multi-level / Network Marketing, Success, Self-made millionaires.

I am so Excited what Nicolette has done to me. She runs a stress free business. She talks and preach laughter. We should laugh as often as we can, to reduce stress. Visit Nicolette's website http://www.stressreleasefortoday.com Go to her website and grab your own e-book that tackles stress. A very dynamic book, get yours now. I highly recommend Nicolette and her services.

I was charmed, by how Nicolette took her thirty minutes off from her time, to teach me how to customise my blog. Guess what! we did all the customisation with Skype. She was giving me instructions and steps to follow. I managed to do as she said, because I am teachable and coachable. Follow the leaders and do as they tell you, don't re-invent the wheel, use tried and tested systems provided by your leader.

Blogs are very important marketing tools, please do use them.
